Toyota are once again proud to be an official partner of The IAAF World Championships for 2017, and were of course thrilled to be involved in the event’s ticket giveaway in the UK back in June.
We had to ensure that Colin Jackson, Sally Gunnell and Jonathan Edwards paid four unsuspecting fans a surprise visits in ultimate style, delivering the first set of tickets to the IAAF World Championships London 2017. Which is why, we were more than happy for the athletics heroes to deliver the winning tickets in the All-New Toyota C-HR!
The three former British world champions have been a huge part of the build-up to the Summer of World Athletics with each of their world record times and distances inspiring special 'Legend Ticket' prices to the championships; Gunnell's 400m hurdles record of 52.74, Jackson's 110m hurdles record of 12.91 and Edwards' triple jump record of 18.29m.
After a morning spent at MediaCity UK where the trio of legends marked the ‘50 days to go’ milestone to the London championships with a series of interviews and activities at the BBC, the three sporting stars hit the streets around Manchester in Toyota’s stunning new C-HR to deliver tickets to local fans.
We’re sure Jackson, Gunnell and Edwards had to fight for the driver’s seat, as they cruised around the city in the brand new, beautifully sculptured C-HR, with responsive and engaging hybrid powertrain which offered them a luxurious SUV derive. Contoured and contemporary, measured and meticulous, with diamond-facetted influences throughout, they were sure to get some heads turning on their way to present the lucky winners their tickets.
We’d like to extend a big congratulations to Kristian Johnson, Stephanie Stevens, Sarah Sturgess and 11-year-old James – we look forward to seeing you at this summer’s IAAF World Championships!
